[Engaged] Brenna & Buck

Brenna and Buck rock!  We did thier engagement session in Newport by the mansions.   They both looked awesome, and came to this engagement session to break some rules.

We got some pretty awesome shots before the guard from the mansion sent us on our way.  I found, in life, it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.  It becomes a lot easier when you get some awesome shots in the process!

Once the guard sent us on our way.. we may have forgotten which way we came in… and while finding our way back, we snapped a couple more shots.

What impressed me most, was how well Brenna rocked those heels.  You should have seen how she navigated the cliff walk with those things.  What a champ!

Rock star status!

You guys were awesome!  Can’t wait for your wedding!

Gina & Sean – Westerly Wedding

Sean is one of those guys who has enough energy for everyone, and has an amzing personality.  I’ve known Sean since we were in high school, so when he asked me to do is wedding, I was pretty stoked.  You should’ve seen these two on the dance floor.  From thier first dance you could’nt drag them off.  Sean had some killer moves, and Gina looked amazing in her wedding dress.  Congratulations guys, thanks for having me!

Jena & Mike – Quidnessett Country Club Wedding

Jena came to me only a few months ago planning her wedding in a very short period of time.  She’d been planning the wedding for years, but unfortunately had to postpone it several times, for health reasons.

I was amazed at how well she planned her wedding in such a short period of time.  Mike and Jena together were the perfect display of love.  The officiate said “.. in sickness and in health..” and everyone gave a little chuckle.  She’s done her part and for that.. a tremendous set of wedding photos!

Needless to say, it was an honor to watch this couple make it down the aisle after all they had been through to get here.

And when they had their first dance, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

It was an honor to be there for this wedding, Jena and Mike are an awesome couple.  Thank you so much for having us! A special thanks to Sarah Harnedy for shooting with me, you were amazing as usual!

Heidi & Jay – Wannamoisett Country Club Wedding

Heidi and Jay got married at Wannamoisett Country club, which I loved because any chance I can work with my girl Nicole Chadwick, I’m in.  She is a terrific coordinator at Wannamoisett and a great friend of ours.

Heidi looked so great, and had lots of great details for her wedding day.

We love any opportunity we can work with the amazing and talented Sara Faella.  Last time we saw Sara she was doing the hair and makeup for our “Bride on the bathtub”.

This was also the first wedding we brought along our new shooter Ms. Sarah Harnedy.  She is a great new addition to our team, with awesome vision and attention to detail.

Thanks for having us along on this wonderful day.  A special thanks to Sarah Harnedy, Sara Faella and Nicole Chadwick.  Ladies you rock!

[Engaged] Meghan & Steve

A few hours before our engagement session, it became clear that the weather might not turn out the way we had planned.  A storm was closing in at about the exact moment we were planning on having our engagement session on the beach.  It crossed my mind to reschedule the session.. then I thought.. well.. “what’s the worst that can happen”.  Moving on.

Meghan & Steve were big-time dog lovers, they had two Corgis that were perfectly behaved for their photo shoot.  A special thanks to Steve’s sister Jackie “The Corgi Whisperer” for hanging onto them while we got some shots of the future bride and groom.

My plan was to photograph as long as the weather would let me and capture some cute shots along the beach, because on the water side, the sky looked normal.

and on the other side… not so much.

If you are going to photograph in the middle of an epic storm you better bring it… and bring it we did.

[Engaged] Rachel & Nick

With a NYC engagement session in our portfolio it only seemed natural to give the city of our awesome sports teams some love…Boston!  Rachel and Nick live right near Fenway park.. yea… LUCKY!  So we met them up there to get some great shots around Fenway Park.

Any time we finish an engagement session with cupcakes, I put that in the win column. We happened to pass by “Sweet”  in Boston on our way home and caught some really great shots of them in this really cute cupcake shop.  Of course while we were there we had to have a few cupcakes and they were pretty awesome.  Thanks guys!

[Engaged] MacKenzie & Mark

What can I say about Mackenzie and Mark that cannot be summed up in three words.  Sexy Sexy Sexy.  Man, this couple was on FIRE at their engagement session.  Mark & Mackenzie were so much fun to work with, both being so intimate with each other, and coming to this engagement session with a purpose.. to rock the house!

Super sexy, amazing photo session guys.  Thanks for having us!

[Engaged] Danielle & Anthony – New York City

When Danielle and Anthony asked me to do their Biltmore wedding, I was thrilled.  And when they told me they lived in New York, I was just as thrilled.  It took me about a ½ second to figure out where we would do their engagement photos… yea… NYC.

We decided that we would meet at the Statue of Liberty.  Funny, I thought it would be bigger.

Danielle wanted some shots in Central Park, this place was amazing.

We made our way downtown.  Some guy followed us for a block and a half because he thought Danielle and Anthony were famous people.  I might have helped with that a little by telling the guy they were when he asked.  Might have.

We finished the session off at Grand Central Station which is such a cool place.  I love this moment of them standing in time.  So awesome!  We may or may not have been invaded by a dance troop shortly after we started shooting.  It reminded me of the AT&T wrong time flash mob commercial.

What a fantastic couple I can’t wait for their wedding!

HOT SPOT – Wild Flowers

Okay, we are starting off these Hot Spots with a bang!  A gorgeous field covered in wild flowers.  And yes, it’s location is totally obscure, but completely worth it!  I’m definitely feeling some cowgirl boots or something for this one ladies!  So if you are a bit adventurous, lets do it!   Believe me you won’t be disappointed!

Hot Spots!

So, Amanda and I were driving around the other day talking about the slew of places we see as we’re driving around that would be badass places to get some photos taken.  Do we talk about photography all the time.. um yes.

So, Amanda came up with this fantastic idea.  Hot spots!  A lot of these locations have time sensitive, blooming season, weather and “legal right to be there” issues we have to deal with.  So we figure… we’ll post a Hot Spot when we find one.  If you want to have your engagement session, wedding formals, trash the dress sessions there, or just want to hang out for a few hours in this super cool location.  Send us an FB message or email and we’ll put it together.  Who knows.. you could be the next person getting their engagement session in the drainage area next to route 4.  (hint.. Hot Spot #1).

Liz & Eddy – Kirkbrae Country Club Wedding

“The girl with the blue shoes” quickly became the name that was given to Liz Rodriguez after her and Eddy’s epic engagement session on Benefit Street in Providence.  They were so much fun to work with back then and things were no different on their amazing wedding day.

The guys ended up early to the church.  So they went to the bar to grab a drink before the ceremony… with the priest.  Best priest ever!

Now this is one excited groom!

Liz and Eddy had lots of time for photos.. which we LOVE, and took full advantage of.  We took them right through Providence stopping at some amazing locations…

..and absolutely had to get a recreation of the epic “Girl with the blue shoes” shot.

November 2010
May 2011

Since her engagement session, we have had more brides tell us that Liz should be a stylist for weddings, but what they didn’t know is that Liz designed and made most of the details for this wedding.  Including the parasol, the runner and even the invitations.. Awesome job!

Another amazing cake by CakesRI.com

And Eddy’s golfing skills are pretty amazing as well.  We won’t show the shot where he went all “Happy Gilmore” on the ball.

Ok.. yea we will.

This couple was amazing, they went all out on the details, and we had such an amazing time photographing with them.. and being there for this big day.

Major props to Tiffany Marsocci the coordinator at Kirkbrae Country Club, she did a great job of making sure the event ran smooth and every detail worked perfectly.  Thanks Tiffany!

Claudia & Dennis – Benefit Street Providence Wedding

Dennis and Claudia were so great on thier big day.  With a church wedding taking place at the beautiful Our Lady of the Holy Rosery church on Benefit Street in Providence, we were in the perfect spot to get some awesome formal photos.  We took the bride & groom to a few spots along Benefit Street trying to match the beauty of the scene, to this gorgeous bride and groom.  Enjoy!

Dennis had the best smile, genuine, addictive.  What a great guy!

I love this church! Not only is Father Joe the coolest guy.  (See May 28th 2011 Wedding, coming soon) , but the church has gorgeous architectural detail!

This is one of the cutest photos of the day, because of the back story.  Dennis tells me that when Claudia gets excited that she has this little hop she does… well, we had to capture it for him to show the excitement of her wedding day!

Yes!

Great best man speech.. complete with a plug for Capital Tanning, Dennis & Claudia’s tanning company.

Thanks for having us, we had a blast!

Sean & Carly – Hyatt Regency Newport Wedding [4.16.11]

“So, I give to you my everything, you’ve given me these loving wings.. and angels have all gathered round, to hear me sing my love out loud.” – DMB

We scouted Newport to find the perfect spot to take pictures a few weeks before the wedding day.  I remember saying “Please give me some cloud cover on the wedding day” and did we ever get it.  The rain held out just long enough for photos, we found the perfect spot for some unforgettable pictures.

Carly and Sean were such troopers even though the wind was whipp’n something fierce, Carly hiked up that dress and headed out into the middle of this field of daffodils for a once in a lifetime shot!  I loved how they couldn’t take their eyes off each other even with well wishers honking at them as they drove past.

Just waiting for the lobby at the Hyatt in Newport to clear.  Why not take an awesome solo portrait of the gorgeous bride.

St. Mary’s in Bristol is such a beautiful church.

Diamonds are a girls best friend.

Not only did these guys have 4 awesome bridal party speeches.  One of the groomsmen decided he was going to sing them a little tune, he wrote himself.  It was perfectly hilarious and totally unique.

<

They had a great band and some hidden talent in the guest list, but the bride upstaged them all with a little “Lets Stay Together” by Al Green sung especially for her groom.  Sean is a lucky man!  It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.  Thanks for having us along!

[Newlyweds] 1.8.11

Occassionally we find a location that we have to shoot no matter what.  The no tresspassing signs are mere suggestions, especially on a wedding day.  We headed to the reservoir in Framingham where they had this fantastic view.  Amanda shot as the primary photographer.  When a car pulled up, we were sure it was the police, but we were getting such great stuff, Amanda kept shooting, I went to at least marginally slow them down, admit fault and move on.  It turned out it was the photographer for the paper in Framingham.  He was awesome and was cool enough to snap a few photos of Amanda and I putting in work.  Check out the awesome photo by Ken McGagh of the Metro West Daily News of Amanda and I. Thanks for hanging with us Ken, great shots!

[Engaged] Liz & Eddy

I met Liz & Eddy at a wedding I photogrpahed back in June.  The pictures we took with them and thier friends became the stuff of legend.  We laughed and had so much fun, I knew this couple was going to rock on thier wedding day.

So we hit Benefit Street for thier engagement photos and got some amazing shots.  This couple is so awesome, thier style, attitude and sense of humor were out of this world.  I cannot wait to photograph thier wedding at Kirkbrae Country Club in May 2012!

I LOVE this shot!

This whole set felt 1930′s Hollywood.  This couple was amazing!

The proper foot lift.  This wasn’t requested… it just happened.  Thats what I love about these two!

Congratulations Matt & Michelle.  This was a bridal party for the ages!  These guys were so much fun from start to finish.  Taking great and hilarious pictures, and dancing the night away.  The dance floor was full 10 minutes before dinner till they closed the doors.  What a great time we all had!
